Natural & Conventional Treatments Could Help Prevent Coronavirus According To Clinical Trial

According to the latest clinical trials available to be viewed by the public at ClinicalTrials.gov, “Healthcare professionals mainly doctors, nurses and their first degree relatives (spouse, father, mother, sister, brother, child) who have been started on hydroxychloroquine (plaquenil) 200mg single dose repeated every three weeks plus vitamin C including zinc once a day were included in the study. Study was conducted on 20th of March. Main purpose of the study was to cover participants those who are facing or treating COVID19 infected patients. Participants, age, sex, BMI, smoking history, comorbid disease were also registered.” (https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/study/NCT04326725).

What this tells us is that there are a few elements discussed in the study and its related links that have been shown (albeit, in a very preliminary stage) to be beneficial to helping prevent Covid-19. These are:

  • Vitamin C
The best immunity booster, bar-none. Prevalent in citrus fruits, Vitamin C, as we’ve already discussed has been the subject of numerous studies in China and has even been used by a NY physician to intravenously treat his Covid patients.
  • Vitamin A
Another powerhouse is this micronutrient crucial for maintaining vision, promoting growth and development, and protecting epithelium and mucus integrity in the body. Vitamin A’s contribution to supporting immune function hinges upon its status as an anti-inflammation vitamin because of its critical role in enhancing immune function
  • Vitamin D
Can modulate the innate and adaptive immune responses. Deficiency in vitamin D is associated with increased autoimmunity as well as an increased susceptibility to infection. … The immune system defends the body from foreign, invading organisms, promoting protective immunity while maintaining tolerance to self.
  • Zinc
An essential micronutrient for basic cell activities such as cell growth, differentiation, survival and boosting immunity of course. Zinc is frequently used as an ingredient in OTC cold remedies (i.e., zinc lozenges).
  • Hydroxychloroquine
This is a prescription drug used to treat malaria. It recently came to widespread attention because, despite the fact that these are still very preliminary-stage tests, certain individuals decided to take chloroquine (which hydroxychloroquine is a derivative of) which they used to treat their koi fish after hearing about it from President Trump during one of his briefings. One of them later died and the other ended up in critical condition. So, it’s important to note, that this is not a safe thing to do and we would discourage anyone from self-medicating based on ill-informed hearsay.

Initial findings are promising, but this should not be taken as any kind of indication you should use prescription drugs without medical supervision. Supplements are always a great, natural way however to ensure your immune system is as strong as possible. Here’s hoping more testing confirms that this unique combination of natural and conventional treatment can keep COVID-19 at bay. Until next time, stay healthy and at home!
