This Healthy (Virgin) Bloody Mary Recipe Is A Great Way To Control Cholesterol

Sorry folks, there’s no booze in this Bloody Mary, but this low calorie combination of over 4 vegetable servings is delicious. Basil, parsley and oregano offer many health benefits with their vitamins and antioxidants. Garlic helps control blood pressure and cholesterol and is a strong natural antibiotic. Tomato has lycopene which is a cancer fighting chemical. Olive oil is good for the heart is it helps to better absorb the nutrients in the smoothie.

INGREDIENTS:
1/3 cup sodium free tomato juice
1/3 cup fresh celery, diced
1/3 cup cucumber with peel, diced
1 cup fresh chopped tomato
½ clove fresh chopped garlic
1 T chopped parsley
2 fresh basil leaves
3 fresh oregano leaves
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp fresh lime juice

DIRECTIONS:
Place all ingredients in blender and mix until smooth. You can add red pepper flakes and fresh black
pepper to add extra heat.
