F.D.A. Planning Ban On Sales Of Flavored E-Cigarettes

If you think puffing on e-cigarettes is a safe alternative to regular cigarettes, you may be in store for a rude awakening. The FDA has recently announced it is in the process of banning the sales of flavored e-cigarettes in stores and gas stations around the U.S. in order to stop the vaping trend so prevalent among young people.

They are also planning to require age verification for online sales in order to make sure that minors cannot purchase them. Although once thought of as a less dangerous habit than smoking regular cigarettes, the growing body of scientific evidence has led to vaping being considered a definite health problem.

E-cig ban

The FDA is planning a nationwide ban on flavored e-cigs, citing safety concerns.

Tobacco companies are against the banning of flavors in e-cigarettes saying that they are aimed at adults, although they name the flavors in a way that is appealing to young people. It’s common to find flavors such as Waffles, Rocket Popsicle and Unicorn Milk along with fruity tastes like mango.

Parents should be very concerned with their children smoking E-cigarettes, as they are a serious health threat. Juul is one of the most popular brands and the FDA warned retailers to stop selling these cigarettes to minors or they will issue fines to them.
